"Get round" is a selection of pictures made in Cuba and United States in 2016; this piece has been exhibit for the European Month of Photography in the Gallery SUBJECTOBJECT.
These are photographic insights into the two societies, which nevertheless maybe for some seconds correspond with each other at their present intermediate stage.
A document of the way people deal with the everyday realities/pressures, in the margin between a certain diligence towards the collective destiny and the autonomous concepts of life. Imperialism? I am interested in the individual, existential situations, whether they happen in a certain social background or in an undefined way. Content contrasts are softly minimized and personal positions are subtly affirmed.
We wanted to reflect a microcosm where people dwell upon the failure of all collective myths as in a "nowhere" and still bear witness to a life force.
